Sutton Foster says experience filming 'Gilmore Girls' revival was 'surreal'

Sutton Foster has been cast as a new character on the Gilmore Girls revival and she’s opening up about the experience filming with the original cast.

As we previously reported, Foster is the first actress who didn’t have a role in the original series, which ran from 2000 to 2007, to join the new episodes.

Foster told Entertainment Weekly she’s “totally satisfied with the experience,” going on to call it “crazy” and “beyond.”

The Younger star said the first time she filmed with one of the show’s leads, Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), she cried. “It was just surreal,” she said.

The Netflix revival consists of four 90-minute episodes to represent each season and Foster will be in half of them.
