Kesha has a new single out titled “True Colors” and no it is not a cover version of the hit Cyndi Lauper song of the same name.
Also featured on the single is Zedd, the EDM artist who has worked with many other talents to create incredible music.
Kesha posted an image of the single cover on Twitter and also tweeted about working with Zedd, calling it “a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again!!”
She has been in a legal battle to be able to stop working with Sony’s Dr. Luke after allegations of sexual abuse. Based on the lyrics in the song, it is clear this is about showing who she really wants to be seen as in terms of being an artist.

Ahead of possible blowback for copyright issues, Zedd clarified on Twitter they did receive permission from RCA to be able to use the title for the song.
Just to clarify:
We didn't use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!— Zedd (@Zedd) April 27, 2016
The song will officially be released April 29.
