Ripa was absent from Wednesday’s broadcast and TMZ reports that she is livid that no one at Disney gave her a heads up about the news before it broke. A source told CNN, "She is beyond angry. Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke says that the upcoming season will be the biggest yet. The Daenerys Targaryen actor told Variety, “It’s huge, it’s ridiculously huge. MTV has renewed The Shannara Chronicles for a second season, the network announced today. Based on the fantasy novels by Terry Brooks, the series follows three heroes who attempt to stop an army of demons. Though the live TV ratings haven’t been particularly spectacular, the show has performed well with young viewers, especially on streaming services and social media, according to DeadlineThe Shannara Chronicles stars Poppy Drayton, Invana Baquer and Austin Butler.

AMC has released a promo image for Feed the Beast, their upcoming drama series starring David Schwimmer and Jim Sturgess. No, it’s not another Walking Dead spinoff; the show follows two friends who attempt to open a restaurant together. The rest of the cast will consist of Michael Gladis, Lorenza Izzo, Christine Adams, John Doman and Elijah Jacob. It premieres on May 31.

 

After the shocking news that Stana Katic will be leaving Castle, Nathan Fillion has issued a response. On Twitter, the actor wrote that he hopes the series continues on for years to come and thanked Katic for creating the character of Beckett. The fact that Fillion says he wants the show to keep running long into the future is surprising, considering many fans assumed season 9 of Castle would be its last.

Crackle has ordered a new drama series based on the Guy Ritchie film Snatch, according to Variety. The streaming service compared their Snatch series to Fargo, meaning it will be loosely based on the original movie while doing its own thing. Crackle’s show will be about a group of twenty-somethings who suddenly find themselves in the world of organized crime in London.
