‘Big Brother 18’ recap: 'Who wins the first Power of Veto of the summer?'

The episode joins the house during day 9 where Paul has joined Jozea and Paulie on the nomination block after the RoadKill nomination. This is a great move for the 8Pack alliance to take out a member of The Newbies. Jozea is convinced that Michelle was the RoadKill winner. Jozea is also 100 percent about getting Paulie out of the house. Frank is laughing at this whole situation since he is the real RoadKill winner.

Everyone in this house is paranoid. Jozea thinks Michelle did it, Paul thinks maybe Bridgette did it. The 8Pack alliance is all silently laughing, knowing that Frank is the one behind all of this. Jozea calls himself a “hawk” and can observe everything. It’s hilarious because he has no idea he is the main target this week. The other alliance, The Spy Girls decide they need to lay low and vote with the majority of the house. If this alliance can stay a secret, they could make a decent run in the game.

It is time to pick players for the first POV competition of the summer. HOH Nicole and nominees Paul, Paulie and Jozea will play with two random HG. Da’Vonne is selected and Nicole picks herself, which means she gets to pick the HG. She chooses Corey. This is a good move for the 8Pack to keep the nominations the same. Jozea is their target and I agree with them, he needs to go this week.

The first POV competition of the summer goes to the dogs. Each competitor is in a dog costume and the object of the game is to stack their dog treats on their dog house after spinning around 15 times. The HG that does this first will win the game. Nicole and Corey are really bad at this, which leaves Da’Vonne as the only hope for 8Pack. I admit this competition is another one that is much more challenging than it looks. I predicted one of the nominees will win this comp. and i was correct. Paul uses his unique way to stack the treats and is able to win the first POV of the summer. Paul will be safe this week and it is up to Frank to decide who will replace him on the nomination block.

Jozea is completely blind in that house. He feels good about The Newbies position and thinks that Paulie is for sure going home. Paulie just hopes The Vets keep their word to him and stay loyal. Paulie also might have gained an ally in Tiffany, who confides in him about being Vanessa’s sister. Tiffany is playing a solid game so far. I like it.

Jozea then calls a “house meeting” to the group of HG that he feels are his alliance. The ironic part is that half of them have no intention of keeping him safe this week. I’m truly amazed this man has no idea he is the main target of the entire house. He basically tells everyone that the goal is to get Paulie out of the house. Paulie and the other HG that don’t attend the meeting are hanging out in the HOH room and Paulie is trying to keep his cool. Paulie does later try and talk to Jozea about the meeting. Jozea obviously deflects and just keeps repeating the word “scenarios” and basically lies right to Paulie’s face. I’m going to say it now…Jozea is by far one of the worst Big Brother players of all time.

It is time for the POV Ceremony. Paul will obviously save himself with the veto, but I’m curious who the RoadKill winner (Frank) will nominate. He makes the smart, low-key move and nominates… Bridgette. I’m really enjoying the RoadKill twist. I can’t wait to see the look on Jozea’s face when he more than likely is evicted tomorrow night. Anything can happen inside the house but my money is on Jozea being the one to leave the house.

Find out who is evicted Thursday night at 9 p.m.!
