Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry collapses during concert

Fans of legendary guitarist Joe Perry witnessed a scary moment over weekend when the rocker collapsed while playing with his Hollywood Vampires band alongside Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 10, during the group’s gig at the Coney Island Amphitheater in New York.

Video taken during the concert shows Perry sitting down while trying to play before gingerly walking backstage. It was then he is said to have collapsed and in the clip people can be seen in the background frantically rushing to his aid.

The 65-year-old was transported to the hospital and later a tweet on his Twitter account read, “Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe. He is stable right now, with family and is under the best care.”


Cooper also tweeted out the update that his bandmate was in stable condition and getting great care at the hospital.


The group’s official Twitter account tweeted the same good news about his condition and wished him a “speedy recovery.”
