New York City subway riders got a cool show over the weekend courtesy of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who showed off his skills on the drums.
The actor proved that he is also a pretty good musician and treated commuters to a jam session right on the platform.
Gordon-Levitt’s surprise appearance was part of his Everyday, Spectacular project which urges people to create “a spectacular moment out of that everyday situation.” It is a collaboration between his production company hitRECord and LG.
After his session was complete, the Snowden star took to social media to share what he had just done and asked others who play instruments to join the project.
I asked you guys to play music in public. For my part I played drums in a subway. https://t.co/DVt3Jsixh7 #LGxHR pic.twitter.com/rxXf8Jzg6g

“I played the drums (in a subway) for our ‘Everyday, Spectacular’ project — now, where are all you musicians gonna play your instruments?” he asked his six million Facebook friends.
He then informed his more than four million Twitter followers that he is searching for and issuing a challenge to those who can play certain instruments or sing vocals.
