'Power' season 3 episode 5: 'Help Me'

What it is Power fans? How have you guys been feeling so far after last week's episode? Let's retrace our steps a little. So we now know Kanan is back and it seems like he's become more and more like his self again after recovering from his near death experience. He partnered up with his cousin who is a crooked cop and has been helping her with organized crime. Last week also showed us another side to Holly. When she finds out she's pregnant she makes killing Ghost a first priority. I guess you could say her motherly instinct kicked in when she hired one of the Jamaicans to kill Ghost. She knew that Lobos was going to come after her and Tommy if Ghost was not dead. Holly was going to do anything to keep her family safe and if that meant killing Ghost, so be it. So that's where we left off. Before I get into this recap I'm just going to warn you that this episode was CRAZY! Prepare for utter shock ... okay let's get into it!

Mommy's In Town

While Holly is continuing to persuade Tommy into killing Ghost, they hear a knock at the door. Tommy opens the door and sees that it's his mother. He invites her in and she immediately asks who Holly is. Holly introduces herself as Tommy's girlfriend, but Tommy's mom doesn't seem too fond of her. Don't worry Mrs. Egan we aren't either!

Tommy's mother notices that she has her grandmother's ring on her finger and has a fit about it. While Mrs. Egan is there Holly finds out just how weird Tommy's relationship is with his mother. They Sniffed cocaine together for Godsake!

All About Ruiz

The FBI ask Ruiz to snitch on Lobo's entire organization in exchange for protection and freedom. However, Ruiz did not budge. He knew snitching would get him killed, regardless of the type of protection they were offering. Ruiz agrees to talk about Lobos and Lobos only. Meanwhile, Jamie's Lawyer stops by the FBI office and sees that Ruiz is in the room with all of the agents. He assumed that Ruiz was snitching on Lobos and was worried that he may rat out James as well. Jamie's lawyer rushed to his office to tell him that there was a possibility that Ruiz would snitch on him. His Lawyer asks if Angela told him about the Ruiz situation and James answered no. After hearing that he tells him that Angela may not have his back like he thinks she does.

Angela's Ex is At It Again

FBI Agent Greg Knox a.k.a. Angela's ex took Ruiz in a room to talk to him more about testifying against Lobos. He offers him a proposition and asks him to reveal Lobos's distributor a.k.a. Ghost in exchange for his freedom. He was willing to let Ruiz go free without any charges if he gave up Ghost's real name. Ruiz did not give an answer, but seemed to be in deep thought.

Kanan's Warning

Andre comes home to his apartment to see Kanan holding his daughter in the air. His heart stops. So did mine! Andre knew why Kanan was there and he knew what kind of man Kanan was, so he begged him to put his daughter down.

Kanan tells Andre that he failed him and picked Ghost over him. In order to assure his daughter's safely Andre makes it seem like he was only working for Ghost so he can get close to him and finish him off for Kanan. He pleads with Kanan and tells him that he's right where he wants him to be. After hearing that Kanan puts Andre daughter down and says something along the lines of "You better be." Wow Andre, good way to think on your toes. I just hope you were pretending though, because I was really starting to like you.

Way To Go Angela

When Angela finds out about her ex is trying to persuade Ruiz into ratting out Ghost, she quickly intervenes. She tells Ruiz to give the FBI information on Lobos and no one else. Angela tells him that Ghost saved his life and he was the reason why he was still alive. Before she left she told him to think about what he was about to do. Okay Angie I give you some points for that one!

OMG Holly

Holly's hitman texts her and says that he was in position to take out Ghost. Even after hearing Mrs. Egan tell stories about how loyal Jamie was to Tommy throughout their life, she still tells the hitman to go in for the kill. Julio comes to Tommy's house to tell him that someone in his crew was killed outside the same catholic church as him. Tommy tells Julio that they're not going to retaliate just yet. He wanted to wait until he figured this whole thing out. After hearing this news Tommy takes his mom back home, so that he can handle business.

I Ain't No Snitch

Ruiz gave out the information about Lobos to the FBI, but when they asked him to identify Ghost he stayed loyal. They wanted to know Ghost's real name so that they could arrest him and Ruiz protected him and did not snitch. Angela seemed happy that her plan to save Jamie was successful yet again.

The Worst is Yet to Come

Tommy figured out that the Koreans were the ones that shot at him outside the Catholic church. He also figured out that Ghost was the one who shot back at them and saved his life. Holly told him that it still didn't change the fact the Lobos wanted Ghost dead and that they would die if it wasn't done. Tommy told her that was why he had to tell Ghost so that they can sort this Lobos business out together. Yes together like old times!  As Tommy was about to leave she told him not to meet up with Ghost because she did not want him to get hurt. Uh oh this is about to get ugly. Meanwhile, Ghost is in the car spending time with his son, but he spots something coming from behind his car. He stops the car and gets out to check.

It All Goes Downhill from Here

Holly tells Tommy that she hired the Jamaicans to kill Ghost. Tommy started freaking out and tried to call Ghost to warn him, but Holly told him it was too late. Boy was she right. Just as Ghost walked behind his car to check if everything was okay, two men walked out of a black car with machine guns in their hands. Ghost knows he is about to face his death, but before he does he looks back in the car at his son.

Tommy is fuming with anger at this point and he tells Holly to get out of his house. Holly cannot believe that he is choosing Ghost over her after all they've been through together. The two start to get physical with each other and Tommy starts to choke Holly. Oh snap... Holly you let out his crazy... tisk tisk. Meanwhile, Ghost is still staring at his son as he is about to be shot to death, but suddenly his life is saved. The protection that he hired a couple episodes back came through and they shot both of the assassins before they could do anything to Ghost. After their mission was completed they told Ghost to take his son back home and they would clean up the mess. He got inside his car to take him and his son home safely. Back to the Holly and Tommy Drama. Holly and Tommy are still fighting both physically and verbally. She tells him that he is nothing without Ghost who is gone. When she said this it was over. Tommy wrapped his hand around her neck and did not let go. He seemed out of it, like he wasn't in reality. Holly struggled to get out of his chokehold, but it was too late. She ended up dying right in his arms. I know I've been saying I wanted her off the show, but this was a little much.

The Lobos Business is Over

After Ruiz confessed about Lobos the FBI wrapped up the case. Lobos was transferred to another prison because he finally agreed to give up the Jimenez cartel. Ghost told Angela about the separation papers he was going to get Tasha to sign. Angela was overjoyed to see that Jamie was getting serious about their relationship.

Bros Before Hoes

After almost being shot to death Ghost could not get any sleep. He got up out of bed, put a black hoodie on and ventured off into the night. Where you going bro? He breaks into Tommy house because he suspected that he had something to do with his attack, but he was surprised to see a distressed Tommy sitting on the floor. Next to Tommy Ghost saw Holly's lifeless body on the ground, then Tommy spoke the words, "Help me."

Ghost knew that something horrible just took place. Ghost got rid of Holly's body and gave him back his grandmother's ring that was once on her finger. Tommy told Ghost that Holly was the one who hired the Jamaicans to kill him. Tommy also told him that Lobos ordered him to kill him, but he just couldn't do it. Then the most epic thing out of this whole season happened. They both agreed to kill Lobos together, our favorite best buds are finally back together again! I guess Tommy took that bros before hoes thing a little to serious.
