'Scream' season 2, episode 11: 'Heavenly Creatures'

Greetings slasher fans! We have now reached episode 11 and it looks like we are coming to an ending very soon. I think that we can all agree last week's episode was nerve racking. First, Ghostface gave us a panic attack when he/she stabbed Noah and then buried him alive. We were relieved that Emma and Audrey came to the rescue and saved him before he died underground in that creepy barn. Zoe was next on the list to be rescued after Ghostface threw her coffin in the lake. Emma, Noah and Audrey rushed to the lake to save Zoe, but they were too late. We felt the pain of Noah when he realized his first love had died, #Zoah will forever be in our hearts. The episode ended with Maggie sending Brandon James a message in a tree nook, like she used to do when they were kids. Little did she know that Eli had creeped up behind her when she left. What was he doing there? Can Eli be trusted? Let's see what clues we can find in this recap!

Intruder Alert

Somebody has entered Emma's house while she is sleeping. One may assume that it is Ghostface, but we aren't too sure because his/her face was not shown. The person walks into Emma's room and points a knife at a photo of her and Keiran.

Emma is still sound asleep while all of this is going on. Wake up girl!  The intruder continues to roam around Emma's room until they come across her dream diary. He/she opens the diary up with the knife. Finally, the noise wakes Emma up and she opens her eyes.

She can tell that someone is in her room, but does not want that person to know that she is awake. As soon as the intruder leaves her room she gets up. Emma hears a noise from downstairs, so she quickly grabs some scissors and heads down the stairs slowly. When she gets downstairs she sees that the outside door is cracked and the intruder has left. However, he/she did not forget to leave Emma a present. On her doorknob the intruder left a wooden heart necklace with her name on it. Emma screamed at the top of the steps to wake her mom up.


Eli Shows Up Again

Emma and Keiran were looking through old newspaper clippings and came across an article about Will's funeral. Will was one of Emma's friends that was murdered by the killer. In the photo Emma and her friends are seen mourning the death of their friend, but Emma spots someone else in the background. It's Eli. Emma thinks it's suspicious that Eli was in the picture because he wasn't supposed to be in town at the time.


They Might Be Right About Eli

Eli's mom tells him to pack his things so that they can move out of Lakewood. She fears that Eli is getting too close to Emma and her friend and thinks staying will be risking them "finding out" about them. What are you two hiding? His mom tries to make him leave, but he demands to stay. She asks Eli what they were going to do about the mayor and he says that he'll take care of him. Later on at Brooke's house, Mr. Maddox a.k.a. the mayor hears loud music coming from Brooke's room. As he walks upstairs to turn the music off Eli breaks into his house. He goes into the mayor's office and takes some of his secret files. Once Mr. Maddox walks into his office Eli is gone. He looks on his desks and sees a message that reads "You are so screwed."


Oh Boy What Have We found?

Keiran looks through Eli's room for evidence that may lead them to the killer. He looks all over his room and cannot find anything until he gets to the back of his bed. Keiran feels around under the bed and finds several letters with Piper's name on them. Keiran shows Emma and Audrey what he found while on FaceTime. Audrey tells them that they were all of the letters she had sent to Piper. Back to the Mayor/Eli situation. Mr. Maddox gets a text from an unknown number that tells him to meet them or they would expose his secret documents. We know it's you Eli, You ain't foolin nobody! 


The Tell-All Video

Noah has decided to shut down his podcast show The Morgue, but before he signed off he had to make one last post. He wanted to dedicate his last podcast to Zoe, since she loved it so much. While Noah was in the middle of posting his podcast, someone randomly hacks his computer. He tries to stop it, but it takes over the entire screen and instead of his posting his dedication to Zoe, it posts a video. The video reveals all of the secrets that Audrey and Emma were hiding.

It shows the footage of Audrey inside the storage garage with Jake's dead body,  Emma confessing about a hallucination where she murdered her friends and all the people that were murdered by the killer so far.

The video seems like it was made to make Emma and Audrey look like the bad guys. Typical Ghostface strategy. 

Abandoned House Visit

Emma and Audrey Visit Brandon James' abandoned house. Emma tells Audrey to wait outside while she searched the house for evidence. Emma walks upstairs into a bedroom and finds a wall with a string attached to it. When she pulled the string it led her to a secret room, just like it did Officer Miguel. Emma called Audrey to show her the new discovery. Once Audrey is in the room Emma finds her dream journal. She assumed that the killer stole the journal from her house to use it for something. Well we know what he/she used it for. Suddenly Emma and Audrey see Mr. Maddox drive up to the creepy barn.

Poor Mr. Maddox

Brooke's father walks into the barn and no one is there. He texts the unknown number and asks the person where they were. Once he sends the text he hears a cell phone ringing from inside the barn. Mr. Maddox keeps texting the phone, so that the sound can bring him closer to the phone. Finally, he finds the phone that he's been texting the whole time and seems confused. Mr. Maddox gets another message sent to his phone, it's a picture of Ghostface. As soon Mr. Maddox turns around Ghostface stabs him in the chest with a rake.

Emma and Audrey walk into the barn and find Mr. Maddox with a rake shoved into his chest. As soon as they walk in he pulls the rake out of his chest and bleeds out. Mr. Maddox dies soon after and suddenly Emma and Audrey hear a noise. They assume it's the killer and grab the closest weapon and start walking slowly towards the noise. The police arrive and tell Emma and Audrey to put their hands up and drop their weapons. Both of them have blood on their hands after trying to help Mr.Maddox, but it doesn't look too pretty to the police. Officer Miguel sees them holding weapons over a dead body and automatically puts Audrey and Emma in handcuffs. They try to tell Officer Miguel that the killer was in the barn and he killed Mr. Maddox, but none of that helped. Seems like Ghostface is trying to pin all the murders on Audrey and Emma. You guys just better get him/her back for this one!
