Miss Arkansas, Savvy Shields, won the 2017 Miss America pageant on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The 21-year-old beat out 51 other women for the title by wowing the judges with her beauty and talent, however, she did go over the allotted time in the Q&A portion of the competition.
Shields was asked what she thought about Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. Ironically, the blonde beauty was representing Hillary's husband Bill Clinton's home state.
"If you're trying to be leader of the free world, everything you say and do matters and all of your actions are held to a higher standard," she said. "Both of the contestants have done a good job, but they also need to watch what they're doing."
Currently, Shields attends the University of Arkansas and studies fine arts. She plans on returning to the school after her reign concludes. By winning the competition she will receive a $50,000 scholarship and earn a six-figure salary during her time as Miss America.
