Atlas Coffee Club October subscription unboxing review

Atlas Coffee Club is a subscription company that sends out coffee from a new country every month directly to your mailbox. You can choose from 1, 2 or 3 bags every 2 or 4 weeks. You point them towards the type of roast you like best and whether you want ground coffee or beans. After that, they take control, letting you taste coffees from around the world. This was my third and final review month with them and as always, I was very happy with my shipment.

The coffee is shipped in a plain brown box and always gets here with no problems. Inside the box is a postcard depicting the coffee’s country of origin. This month it was from Colombia.

On the back of the postcard is a small blurb about the growing methods and coffee history of this month’s region. It also contains a coupon code so you can mail it to friends who want a discount on their own subscription.

I received a bag of whole beans so I could grind them myself. The coffee they send is always roasted the same week it ships, so it’s extra fresh. The Colombia Huila selection was hands-down my favorite of the three I’ve received. It’s a medium roast with light acidity. It had a deep, rich flavor that reminded me of great diner or café coffees. I love that I can have that taste at home.

The cost of this subscription is $14 per bag plus a small shipping fee, which is equal to most other artisan coffees on the market. Best of all, you don’t have to remember to buy coffee while you’re out shopping this season. It’s automatically renewed to show up on your doorstep when you need it most.
