News spread early Friday morning that Florence Henderson, who played one of the most famous TV moms, passed away from heart failure at the age 82.
The actress had gotten into show business in the 1950s but was best known for her role as Carol, the matriarch of the Brady family, in the '70s sitcom The Brady Bunch. The show ran from 1969 to 1974, but reruns aired for decades after that and the fictional TV family became well known in American households.
Henderson's publicist said that she died surrounded by her loved ones at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Her death, however, comes as shock to a lot of people because cameras captured her on TV earlier this week during a taping of ABC's Dancing with the Stars where she was all smiles.
Since the news broke, some Henderson's co-stars as well as many other Hollywood celebs took to social media to react to the loss of the woman who played the legendary TV mom.
