Prince Harry has spoken out in defense of his girlfriend, Suits actress Meghan Markle.
For weeks rumors have surfaced that the actress has been spending a lot of time with the handsome prince, but until now he has remained mum about the reports.
When Markle began undergoing harassment, Kensington Palace issued a statement expressing the Prince’s disappointment that “he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be exhibited to such a storm.”
Since the reports surfaced, Markle has undergone harassment that included photographers blocking her own mother’s attempts to enter her home to bribes being offered to an ex.
In the statement, it said speaking out was the Prince’s “hope that fair-minded people will understand why he has felt it necessary to speak publicly.”

Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, have been very vocal about being able to maintain privacy after the death of their mother. Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have especially been protective over photographs of their young children.
