Leah Remini wants to be sued by The Church of Scientology (Video)

Leah Remini is fired up about the religion she was once a part of and would like the The Church of Scientology to sue her.

During her sit down with Dr. Oz, which aired on Dec. 1, Remini stated that she wants The Church of Scientology to sue her. The actress left the controversial church three years ago after following the religion for 30 years and she claims that she finally saw the truth about them. She describes these truths in her book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, which was released in 2015.

The King of Queens alum has also shared her story in a documentary titled Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.

The Mirror noted that Remini wants to be sued in order for there to be a deposition, which will mean, "some real information [can come] out."

The 46-year-old said she doesn't see a lawsuit happening though. "They won't sue me because they know that's true. And they know that these stories are true or they would've sued the c**p out of every single one of us. But it's heartbreaking, it's disgusting, it's… as a mother, it just fires me up in a way that I can't imagine. So when people tell me to move on, I go, right, yeah, tell that to her. Tell that to the mothers and fathers who lost their kids or have to deal with the fact that their children were taken advantage of. Tell them that.”

The Church of Scientology has released a statements claiming that Remini's allegations about what goes on in the church are false.

"Leah Remini is doing this show [documentary] for the money, just as she profited from her book. In addition, she attempted to extort the Church by first demanding $500,000, followed by an additional $1 million, because the Church invoked its First Amendment right to respond to her false claims with the truth. This shows the extent Leah Remini is willing to go to in order to distort the truth about Scientology."

Remini responded to that by saying, "If I’m so insignificant, if I’m such a liar, if I’m just doing this for attention and money - you’re a big, powerful organization with $3 billion. You’re the epitome of morality. Why bother with such a piece of c**p like me?"
