'The Big Bang Theory' Recap: 'The Birthday Synchronicity'

On The Big Bang Theory, the gang welcomed a new baby! Luckily, Bernadette has all the help she needs from Raj, Stuart, and Howard, who are racing her to the hospital.

Meanwhile, it's Amy’s birthday, and you know what that means: time for her annual coitus with Sheldon! Unfortunately, they are interrupted when Penny informs them the baby is coming.

Everyone starts getting ready to go to the hospital, but as they are about to leave, Raj calls to stop them. It was a false alarm. Sheldon and Amy go back inside to resume their evening as Leonard propositions Penny for sex, too. Although, he would have to locate his inhaler first.

Sheldon has a hard time getting back into the mood, so Amy tries to help with some Harry Potter robes. She exits the bathroom dressed as a Hufflepuff and she gives Sheldon a Gryffindor robe to match. Sheldon is into it until he realizes that Amy went to the Wizarding World theme park without him. He does however, agree not to be mad because it’s her birthday. Just as they are about to start things back up, the phone rings again. The baby is on its way for real this time!

At the hospital, Howard and Bernadette start contemplating names. They now know it’s a girl since Raj accidentally spoiled it when they were there the first time.

While patiently awaiting the arrival of baby Wolowitz, the gang reminisces about how far they all have come. Raj quickly realizes that he hasn’t progressed or accomplished anything. The gang tries to cheer him up to no avail, but then Howard comes out with the good news. Their daughter, Halley (as in Halley’s comet) has been born! He also reveals that Raj will be the godfather. This successfully cheers him up.

They all go to the nursery to see Halley. They look at the newborns, not sure which she is. That is, until one of the babies starts crying, sounding distinctly like Howard’s mom.

After baby Halley is welcomed to the world, Amy and Sheldon go to Wizarding World and then come home to finish what they started. Sheldon is now in the mood again as a magical train ride and reporting a line cutter is excellent foreplay.
