On this episode of Emerald City, Lucas and Dorothy get waylaid by a mute little girl and Tip has to choose between West and Glinda.
What looks like a mad doctor in a dirty hospital speaks to her patient who is waking up. Who are they?
Tip climbs a bridge to commit suicide. The captain of the town guard stops her. She offers to fight for his brigade. He says he has a place for her.
Lucas and Dorothy travel through the woods. She still has her mother’s coat she found on the outskirts of Oz. A girl appears out of nowhere and clings to Lucas. She’s either deaf or doesn’t understand English. Who is she?
The Wizard’s guard cleans burned bodies out of a building. There’s some sort of magic inside.
The Wizard releases councilwoman Anna from the dungeon. He realizes he needs her help despite her knowing the truth about him. Will she let bygones be bygones?
The patient turns out to be Jack. The doctor says she’s going to fix him from his fall. She knocks him unconscious with chemicals and turns on a bone saw. This can’t be a good thing.
Tip and the captain ride through the snow to a huge building full of women. It’s Glinda’s estate. The captain sells Tip into service. What’s to become of her?
Lucas wants to abandon the girl. If they take her to the nearest village, they might be caught. Dorothy refuses to leave her behind.
The doctor introduces herself to Jack as Jane. His broken body parts have been replaced with tin. He screams when he sees them. Apparently, Jack is the Tin Man.
Dorothy finds plugs in the girl’s ears. When she removes them, the girl freaks out at the sound around her. Dorothy places them back in her ears.
The Wizard apologizes to his Anna. She tells him the Beast will come from the sky with a brain, a heart and relentless strength. The Wizard is overwhelmed, but Anna says if it has a heart, he can kill it.
Jack practices walking. He’s frustrated and tells Jane she should have left him in the street. He’s horrified that she replaced his heart with a mechanical one.
Glinda tells her orphan girls that they will join the Wizard’s high council to keep Oz safe. Tip refuses to take the vow. West appears and wants Tip for herself. Are these really Tip’s only options?
Dorothy brings the girl around town to find her parents, but no one knows her. Suddenly, a man and woman appear and want to take her. Dorothy insists on seeing Sylvie’s home. They refuse to show her Sylvie’s room. Lucas grabs Dorothy because the guards are coming. She wants to fight for Sylvie.
The Wizard’s guards are everywhere. Dorothy asks Lucas to remove his outer garments. What’s her plan?
Glinda and West both try to make their case to Tip and ask her to choose. She doesn’t want to be a nun or a prostitute. What can she do?
Jack is getting stronger. A woman in a mask enters the lab. She teases Jack as she picks a new mask for the day.
The Wizard comes to the place of the guard massacre. He’s confronted by the townspeople. Anna goes to investigate the magic. The portal backfires and knocks her unconscious, then disappears.
Dorothy crosses town in Lucas’s clothes and hides from the guard in Sylvie’s “home.” She finds the girl shaking with a burnt corpse holding either hand. Did she cause the fire that took so many lives? Dorothy is afraid of her but offers to take her back to Lucas. She separates the girl from what have become statutes of ash.
The Wizard wakes Anna and pledges his love. She says she cannot stray from her path of service over pleasure. She suggests the Wizard turn the man who defied him to keep others from denying his rule.
Tip ponders while she bathes. She dips beneath the water and when she returns to the surface, there’s another girl in the bath with her. The girl talks up West’s way of life. When Tip delves beneath the water again, we see that the girl is really West in a magical disguise. Will West get her way?
Dorothy and Sylvie get caught between the lead Wizard’s guard and one of his men. He knows who she is. What will he do with her? What about Sylvie?
Jack tells Jane that his limbs are working. Jane tells him the girl who was there earlier, Languidere, is a client. She insists Jack get dressed and go on an outing. Something is obviously wrong.
West watches Glinda’s girls get into a cart. Tip tells West she knows the girl in the water was her. She wants West’s magic.
The Wizard questions the townsman. He wants to know where the magic portal led to. He tries to reason with them. The townsman says magic is the heart of Oz and the Beast only comes to cleanse.
The captain of the Wizard’s guard condemns Dorothy to death, but then sees Lucas’s sword. He wants to know where he is. Dorothy lies and gets backhanded. The captain grabs Sylvie who is shaking again. Dorothy pulls out her gun and shoots a round into the air. Lucas appears and takes Sylvie. The captain is shocked to see him and calls out his true name. He won’t back off, so Dorothy shoots him. Is he truly dead? Lucas is upset to lose the only clue to who he really is.
Jane helps Jack up a long spiral staircase. He’s still walking stiffly. They’ve come to see the King of Ev. The girl from earlier is the Princess of Ev and now owns Jack for her amusement.
Lucas asks Dorothy if there’s magic in her world. She says it’s different and plays him music on her phone. They kiss and curl in around the fire for the night.
The Wizard succeeds in turning the townsman to his side by threatening his daughter’s unborn baby. The Wizard and Anna travel home.
Dorothy and Lucas wake in the morning to footsteps in the woods. They take off running, Lucas slowly grabbing Sylvie. He’s caught by the captain of the guard while Dorothy runs, only to be caught by the warrior from the Munchkin village. Will either of them escape? Will they be able to find each other?
