Soulja Boy and Chris Brown are taking their rap beef to places it has never been before ... Dubai.
The feud that started last week when Soulja Boy liked "liked" an Instagram picture of Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, will likely end in a live televised Pay-Per-View fight in Dubai. The fight was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, but thanks to a slew of rules and regulations, including a mandatory drug test that neither could pass, the fight has been moved to an overseas location. A date for the bout has yet to be confirmed.
This fight may seem like a joke but neither have been approaching it as such. Both rappers are working with famous retired boxers to prepare for the fight. Floyd Mayweather is reportedly training Soulja Boy, while Mike Tyson is on Team Breezy. Tyson even went so far as to record a diss track aimed at Soulja Boy.
Rapper 50 Cent has been doing his part to promote this fight as well. He signed singer Kelly Price to sing the national anthem at the event, which she confirmed in an Instagram post.
TMZ reports that both rappers are expecting this Pay-Per-View fight to rake in millions. They have discussed making it a charity event, but both will be going home with some of the proceeds. Although this feud may seem pointless and trivial to some, Soulja Boy and Brown deserve props for doing more than just talking. They've found a medium between the deadly rap beef of the '90s (Tupac vs. Biggie), and the safer rap beef of today that usually involves nothing more than "Twitter fingers."
