#PLLEndGame: 'Pretty Little Liars' then and now

In less than a month, TV will say goodbye to one of its most dramatic towns ever. April 18 marks the end of Pretty Little Liars seven season run spanning two networks. While we count down the days til the premiere of the second half of season seven and our return to the craziness that is Rosewood, the Liars are out and about promoting its return.

The series wrapped in November and the stars let it be known on social media with emotional goodbyes and sentimental wrap gifts. The notably close cast made their public return on March 25 at Paleyfest where they answered some of our burning questions about the final episodes.

As we hoped, the season will pick up right where it left off, in the moments following the shooting of Spencer Hastings. The episodes will also be action-packed. “Of the last 10, there is a really big reveal at the end of every episode,” Janel Parrish revealed to Entertainment Weekly. “You’re going to find out who killed Jessica DiLaurentis, who A.D. is — all of the answers.”

As for our favorite couples? “All the endgames will be endgames, but nobody’s going to get there super easily,” explained creator I. Marlene King. Executive producer, Joseph Dougherty added, “Without hurdles, the prize isn’t worth anything, so many fans simply say, ‘Why can’t they just be happy?’ And who wants to see that? We have to have some struggle here. You have to earn your happy ending.”
