National Superhero Day is celebrated annually on April 28. Today marks the 22nd celebration of the day that people dress up and praise fictional and real life superheroes.

Some of the most common superheroes everyone talks about are Spiderman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, etc. Although they're great leaders for children, there are even better superheroes who act as role models in real life. Real life superheroes have different jobs they complete. Some of the most common superheroes children think of are police officers, firefighters and soldiers. But there are even more who serve to protect us on a daily basis.

Think about the people in your life and the qualities they possess. Who do you look up to? What is it about them that inspires you? Remember that even though not all superheroes rock awesome capes, they are still the best role models for young people.
