After years of showing some of your favorite childhood animated films (hello, Disney nostalgia), Netflix is now making a foray into the animated world with Channing Tatum as their leading man.
According to Deadline, the streaming site will be releasing its first animated film, America: The Motion Picture. The movie is a revisionist history film about the founding of America. Channing Tatum will voice George Washington and also features a script by David Callaham, the screenwriter of The Expendables. So, yeah, if you haven't figured it out yet, this movie is not exactly for kids. The Verge reports that Callaham is also working on a sequel to Zombieland.
America: The Motion Picture will be rated-R (again, animated but not for kids) and will also feature Matt Thompson and Adam Reed, better known as the creator of Archer, as producers. Thompson will also direct the film. Netflix hasn't announced the rest of the cast, but it seems like they're already off to a good start.
