A shocking video surfaced on Monday, April 10, of a United Airlines passenger being forcefully taken off of a plane because of the airline's own overbooking issue. The images of a man bleeding and being dragged off the aircraft because he did not want to give up his seat, have since gone viral and caught the attention of just about everyone including many Hollywood celebrities. Some of them took to social media to react to what we all saw.
The passenger was literally pulled and dragged off the flight from Chicago to Louisville, Kentucky, after being randomly selected to give up his seat and take another flight to make room for United attendants to board that flight. He refused and said he was a doctor that needed to get home and see his patients but aviation security officers decided to physically remove him from the plane.

The airline has issued a statement regarding the incident, but did not apologize directly to the passenger dragged off the flight.
Oscar Munoz, the chief executive of United Airlines described the situation as “an upsetting event to all of us here at United" and said "I apologize for having to reaccommodate these customers. Our team is moving with a sense of urgency to work with the authorities and conduct our own detailed review of what happened. We are also reaching out to this passenger to talk directly to him and further address and resolve this situation.”
That was not enough for some though and these celebs sounded off about it via Twitter.
I am appalled and absolutely disgusted....this is unacceptable. https://t.co/ZO7X2Cbdve

Why overbook? If every person on board paid then it should be their seat. What logic makes it ok to oversell seats? @united https://t.co/HvEEvU0W3V

The Chicago Department of Aviation has since said it does not condone the behavior of the officers and placed one of them on leave as it investigates the incident.
