Uh-oh here comes trouble.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June Shannon has claimed that her ex-boyfriend Sugar Bear was physically and verbally abusive.
Mama June and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson are the parents of Alanna “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who led the family to fame when she appeared on TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras. The family then got their own show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which was cancelled in 2014 after reports that Mama June was romantically involved with Mark McDaniel, a registered sex offender.
Last year on Marriage Bootcamp, Sugar Bear revealed that he had cheated on the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch with women and men. In an interview with Page Six on Monday, April 10, the reality star said that Sugar Bear was physically and verbally abusive and that Honey Boo Boo hasn’t had a relationship with her father for a long time.
“It’s time the world sees him for what he is,” she said. “[Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon’s] eye buckle was caused by him … because he got mad. So many emotional and physical scars with the kids.”
Mama June appeared on the Wendy Williams show on Tuesday and opened up about her weight loss, her family and Sugar Bear. She told Wendy that people will see the truth about Sugar Bear in an upcoming episode of her show Mama June: From Not to Hot.
"This episode is going to show a little piece of our life," she said. "It's going to open our lives ... This episode is going to bring a lot of stuff out in the open. He doesn't have a relationship with Alana ["Honey Boo Boo" Thompson]. He's not their dad. He severed that. Like I said, there's been several—I can give you Pumpkin's eye was his fault. The thing that we were showing on Honey Boo Boo and we never did. The car wreck. Several things that happened on Honey Boo Boo that was covered up."
