The hits of bridal fashion at New York Fashion Week

This year bridal fashion saw dramatic details, from sleeves to trains. At its core, the modern bride is swept up in romance, as designers retain the classic silhouettes.

From Ines Di Santo to Marchesa, trends, like high slits, nude underlays and layered beads took wedding gowns to the next level.

However, some designers pulled back by focusing on a more demure style—a more pronounced bodice with extra tulle or a higher neckline.

Diversifying its collection, Naeem Khan included feathers, jumpsuits and colored embroidery.

As for veils, the return of birdcage veils dominated the runway with models from Lela Rose looking elegant in theirs in the form of hair bands.

Hair on the models looked naturally unkept in loose waves, while on others, like at Monique Lhuillier's show, the hair appeared very polished adorned with simple flowers.

Overall, designers took trends from what we've seen on red carpets and incorporated them on the runway for the latest bridal fashion.
