'2 Broke Girls' canceled after 6 seasons

After six seasons and 138 episodes, CBS has cancelled the popular sitcom 2 Broke Girls.

Although they were on the bubble, the possibility of a shortened season 7 looked somewhat hopeful over the past couple of weeks, according to Deadline. Unfortunately for fans, CBS could not come to an agreement with the show's producer, Warner Bros. TV.  This led to the show's cancellation.

2 Broke Girls got off to a strong start during it's first season in September 2011, garnering a massive audience and receiving rave reviews. Although they could not maintain such high ratings throughout the series, the show still managed to be steadily successful. According to Variety, season 6 was still pulling in 5.6 million viewers per episode and averaged a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49.

Dennings posted a message to her Twitter account sharing her thoughts on what the show brought her.
