Before Hollywood banked on reboots and superhero films to catapult the box office, Kirsten Dunst starred in a little film called Spider-Man.
Dunst, who portrayed Mary Jane Watson in the 2002 - 2007 franchise, revealed to Variety that she actually wanted to make a fourth film.
"I wanted to be in that movie so badly," Kirsten recalled about being cast alongside Tobey Maguire. "I loved it, and I wish we could have made a fourth."

As for the reboots of the franchise, Dunst got candid about how she doesn't care for them.
“Everyone likes our Spider-Man,” the 35-year-old said bluntly. “C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”

Like the recent onslaught of actresses talking about the wage gap, Dunst too was asked to comment on the pay disparity.
“Because I was young, I thought, ‘Oh wow, I’m getting paid a lot of money for the Spider-Man movies.’ But definitely the men were getting paid more. So yes, I experienced that,” she admitted.
Dunst can be in Sofia Coppola's The Beguiled, starting next month. She will also be starring in the Rodarte designers' debut film, Woodstock, slated for release in September.
