Trailer Park: Schumer hopes to have 'Snatched' the Top Spot

Family oriented films make their way into theaters this Mother’s Day weekend. Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam stars in an action adventure film about a man who learns about his family birthright. Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer play a mother/daughter in a new comedy.

A woman’s boyfriend breaks up with her right before they’re supposed to leave on a tropical vacation in Snatched. In need of a traveling companion, she convinces her wary mom to join her. The two embark on an exciting adventure that puts their mother/daughter bond to the test. Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn star in the comedy alongside Joan Cusack, Ike Barinholtz, Wanda Sykes and Christopher Meloni. The one hour and thirty minute film is rated R for sex, nudity and language.

A man, who grew up on the streets, pulls a sword from a stone and becomes king in King Arthur. With this feat, he discovers his true identity as the son of a slain king and must come to terms with who he really is as he takes back the throne from the uncle who stole it. The PG-13 adventure stars Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Jude Law and Eric Bana. The two hour and six minute action film was directed by Guy Ritchie.

Two American soldiers are in the crosshairs of an Iraqi sniper in The Wall. The only thing protecting them is a crumbling wall. The limited released thriller stars John Cena and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The one hour and twenty-one minute drama is rated R for language and violence.

A group of aliens give a school teacher special powers in Almost Anything. He uses his abilities for personal gain but soon discovers that he’s so powerful that if he makes one wrong decision, he can ruin the world. Simon Pegg, Kate Beckinsale, Eddie Izzard and John Cleese star in the limited released comedy. The one hour and twenty-five minute film also features the voice of Robin Williams in his last role. It’ rated R for language, sex and nudity.

A young woman plans her big wedding without having a mate in The Wedding Plan. With one month to go, time is ticking for her to find a groom. The PG romantic comedy is playing in limited theaters for one hour and fifty minutes.

Another family based comedic adventure is set to join Snatched in theaters next week, the kid-friendly film Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. The latest installment in the Alien film series, Alien: Covenant is also debuting on May 19.
