Mark Wahlberg named 2017's highest-paid male actor

He's come a long way from Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch!

Mark Wahlberg is Forbes highest paid male actor of the year.

The Boston native, who's career started as a hip-hop artist, grossed $68 million this year in earnings. This is thanks to his lead role in Transformers, as well as monies from the anticipated film Daddy's Home 2.

Wahlberg edged out last year's highest paid actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who came in at number two making a mere $65 million including payment for his roles in Baywatch and the upcoming Jumanji.

Below The Rock comes his Furious co-star Vin Diesel whose money came from multiple franchise movies including xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

At number 4 is the hilarious Adam Sandler who's work on Netflix brought home the bacon.

Jackie Chan comes in at number 5. Chan will be heard on the big screen as Mr. Feng, the highly territorial leader of a gang of city mice in Nut Job 2 with Will Arnett.

The bottom of the top 10 highest earning actors are Robert Downey Jr., Tom Cruise, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
