Gigi hadid, Katy Perry, Victoria's Secret, China, banned

China is causing problems for Victoria's Secret show

Gigi Hadid and Katy Perry will not be allowed to attend the Victoria's Secret fashion show in China this year. The Chinese government denied both celebs access to the communist country.

Gigi was denied a visa because of a racist video she did on Instagram with sister Bella that where she squinted her eyes while holding a Buddha cookie. Chinese officials told Victoria's Secret not to bring Gigi as a model or the would consider banning the brand, according to MSN.

It was the Chinese public that pushed for her not to come, taking to social media calling her a racist.

Gigi shared the news she would not be attending on Twitter:

Katy Perry, who was scheduled to perform at the lingerie show was denied a visa for her 2015 show of support for Taiwan, according to FOX News. During a performance in Taipei, Perry wore a sunflower on her dress, a symbol adopted that year by anti-China protesters. She took it a bit further waving the Taiwanese flag at the same show.

They are not the only two not allowed into China. VS model including Julia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova have been denied visas.

Gigi's sister Bella, along with Karlie Kloss and Martha Hunt are on their way to the show.
