Australian grunge/punk rock band Halfwait releases new electric single, "Stand Alone"

"Stand Alone" Single Cover, Halfwait

Hailing from Sydney, Halfwait is a grunge rock band that incorporates a punk rock twist to their blend of sound.

Formulated in 2010 by high school pals Jon Barca (vocals, guitar) and Chris Tallon (drums, backing vocals), the duo went on to enlist Pauly Vella into their ensemble, going on to play across the City throughout 2011 and 2012.

With two EPs under their belt,  new member Nick Serio, who was added to the line-up as bassist and a debut album in the works, Halfwait indicates that they are moving on in a new musical direction from their first EP.  Their new single, “Stand Alone,” showcases their growth and points out their new sound with its grunge rock cadence paved with a punk rock attitude.

A wall of strategically placed guitars sound-off towards the beginning of the track, tailing the sounds of the bassline on the rhythm section and the steady beat of the drums.  The highly dynamic cadence comes from the sounds of the instruments coalescing under the tight musicianship of the band members.

Carrying a big, bold, and daring sound, this is grunge/punk rock music with a great electric vibe.

“Stand Alone” is the first single from their upcoming album, The Official, due for release in June.
