Details about this new project are minimal; this is in part because YouTube has been keeping quiet on the project.
A spokeswoman for YouTube confirmed the project in a statement, "Last year, we engaged in early development deals with a handful of YouTube creators as part of our normal process to evaluate new creative ideas. There is no series order currently in place.”
Jake, who has had some controversies of his own, came onto the scene with Vine (an app that is no longer active), where he did comedy videos. Now people watch him on his own channel for his everyday antics, and his over the top stunts performed with his group of friends called Team 10.

The former star of Disney Channel’s show Bizzardvark, Paul got into some trouble last year after his neighbors complained that the stunts they were doing were taking over their residential street. In a report from the Los Angeles TV station KTLA, Paul appears unapologetic about the disturbances, which further escalated the tensions, leading to his departure from Bizzardvark.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, then 20-year old, Paul acknowledged: "Looking back, I see why everyone was like, 'Yo, this kid sucks. 'Cause I look super immature'."

In recent months, Paul has been trying to reinvent his image. He has gone to Florida in an attempt to take actions against school shootings, and he said in an interview on Good Morning America that he sees himself as an “imperfect role model.”
