Prince Louis Arthur Charles is his name!

Duke and Duchess release the name of His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge

Prince Louis Arthur Charles is the name of Prince William and Kate Middleton's third baby who was born on Monday, April 23.

His name is pronounced Loo-ee.

The family waited a bit longer by a day or two to reveal the name of the baby, but it was hinted at as the likely reason was a kind and common one:  the family was waiting for grandpa Prince Charles to meet the new addition to the family before sharing the name with the world, as reported by PEOPLE.

As Prince Charles was out of the country, his introduction was slightly delayed.  The Queen and the Middleton family met the new addition soon after his birth.

Prince Louis, who is fifth in line for the British throne after great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, grandpa Prince Charles, dad Prince William and his older siblings George and Charlotte, weighed in at 8lbs 7oz when he arrived at 1101 hours on Monday morning.

Prince Harry doesn't seem to mind the demotion to sixth with his upcoming wedding to Meghan Markel that is to take place on May 19.

The name reveal came about on Kensington Palace's Twitter early on Friday morning in England.

Oddsmakers had their favorite names for those who wished to bet on this.

Alexander and Arthur, as well as Albert, were considered to be strong contenders, but Louis was not at the top of the list for most royal watchers, but it did have 14 to 1 odds according to ooddsmakersLadbrokes and Coral.  Paddy Power actually was ahead of the pack with 8 to 1 odds for Louis. James and Philip also topped the list of possible names.

Prince Louis will be a joy to watch in the upcoming weeks, months and years.  TheCelebrityCafe.com will keep you posted on the news of the Royal Family.
