Game of Thrones has a great way of putting different people together.  Sometimes it is for a specific journey or task. Sometimes it is just a matter of lovely coincidence.  But every time, the odd pairings have delightful results.

We're not just talking buddies or even budding romances.  There isn't much odd about Jon Snow and Sam Tarly being BFFs even though one is brain and the other is brooding brawn.  Daenerys' connection with the Dothraki isn't shocking as it was set up from the start.  And really, who didn't see Jon and Daenerys coming together for years?
