The announcement comes two weeks after the fashion designer's death.
The brand, Kate Spade, announced it will donate over $1 million to causes dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness as a tribute to its founder.
Kate Spade New York will also host a Global Mental Health Awareness Day for its employees. It's part of a larger wellness program that will be coming in the next few months.
"Mental illness does not discriminate; it is complicated and difficult to diagnose and can often be life-threatening," said CEO Anna Bakst to WWD. "We hope that our support will shed even more light on the disease and encourage those who suffer from mental health issues to seek help."
The brand will begin by donating $250,000 to the Crisis Text Line and will match donations made between June 20-29. It hasn't been announced which other organizations will receive donations too.
Kate Spade, who co-founded the brand in 1993, died in her apartment on June 5 at the age of 55.
