Kim Kardashian West called on California governor Jerry Brown to build up protections for female inmates in the prison system.
The woman I met at CA Women’s Institution are still on my mind and in my heart. I do hope @GovBrown will sign AB2550 to grant #DignityForIncarceratedWomen #cut50

She tweeted in support of Assembly Bill 2550, which would restrict male correctional officers’ reasons for conducting pat downs on female inmates and prevent officers from entering areas where inmates are undressed.
Kardashian West visited 15 female prisoners over the weekend to discuss their experiences behind bars and their expectations once they're released, according to TMZ.
The reality star was instrumental in Alice Marie Johnson’s release from prison one month ago, in which she spoke with President Trump about prison reform. The president then commuted Johnson’s sentence.
Assembly Bill 2550 must still pass through the State Assembly before it reaches Governor Brown.
