Fortnite plans "High Stakes" event next week

Fortnite is winding down on Season 5 of the game, but they’re still invested in new and creative events.

So, starting next week, Epic has plans for a “High Stakes” event, which will incorporate a brand new limited time mode called Getaway, a new skin called Wild Card and new challenges to complete according to Epic Games.

Epic will be releasing more information during its PAX West Stream, which will begin at 6:00p.m. Pacific, tonight, August 31.

The event seems primed to release following next weeks’ v5.4 patch.

The skin is a man in an all-white suit, black gloves, a brief case and a white mask with heart over the mask’s left eyehole.

The last time Fortnite saw an event with challenges and a skin attached to it, was with the one-year birthday anniversary challenges that were held earlier in Season 5.
