Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, has hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube and is on track to be the most subscribed-to world leader.
Modi posts near-daily videos of his speeches and events, along with videos celebrating the achievements of his government. He is expected to soon surpass the White House, which currently has 1,080,000 subscribers. Modi’s Twitter is a force to be reckoned with, though, clocking in at a whopping 43.3 million followers.
He also has his own app, simply called “Narendra Modi.” It offers “[the] latest information, instant updates and helps you contribute towards various tasks,” and boasts the chance for direct communication with the PM. He has professed on Twitter his idea for a “Digital India:”
In my speech at Lucknow, highlighted the steps being taken by the Central Government towards realising the dream of a Digital India and towards making India a hub for manufacturing. Through a holistic vision and inclusive actions, we are adding new strength to the Indian economy. pic.twitter.com/xDrlDpSOaZ
